Elena Giusti is an Assistant Professor of Latin literature and language at the University of Cambridge and a fellow of St John’s College, Cambridge.

Giusti's monograph,
Carthage in Virgil's Aeneid: Staging the Enemy under Augustus, was published by Cambridge University Press in 2018.
It focuses on the role of
Carthage in
Virgil's
Aeneid.
In 2022 Giusti was awarded a Mid-Career Fellowship by the British Academy to extend her work on the "literary representations of Africa before and under the Roman Empire" with a monograph and a podcast series.
